May 2025 Fraud Statistics

Attached is the cybercrime summary figures for May 2025. This is reported crime only, and just in this borough. £146,239 is lower than usual but still represents 91 people who will have been affected emotionally and financially. What can you do? Read carefully all the information in this letter - get the little book of big scams -  The Little Book of Big Scams – 5th Edition . 

Do you belong to a club, guild or group locally? We will come and present to you -  ask your local ward officer for copies of the book and about a presentation. 

There is a lot of advice and information available so please use it to keep yourself up to date. This type of crime is changing all the time - becoming more sophisticated and difficult to spot.
